The Department of Children, Youth and Young Adult Ministry serves those who connect children, youth and young adults with Jesus Christ, each other, the Church and its mission. We work diligently to provide resources, training, formation and programs for ministry with children, younger and older adolescents and young adults. We have much to do as We are Kingdom Builders at Tabernacle of Praise.
Gabriel’s Den (children’s church)
Just as Jesus was concerned with children, so are we at the T.O.P. At the T.O.P. children are welcomed and trained in the truths of the Bible. We are developing children to know Christ as Saviour and to become faithful disciples.
In Gabriel’s Den we have faithful, committed and caring teachers who are ready to deliver the Word through powerful object lessons, memory verses, storytelling, bible lessons, learning and locating the books of the Bible, games and illustrated sermons to your children. The children receive salvation.
Age divisions are as follows:
Teenagers are trained and allowed to assist in working in Children’s Church because it is our goal to make Sunday morning the best two hours of every child’s week who comes through the doors of the church. They learn to serve as awesome Praise Leaders, Praise dancers, Ushers, Greeters and the Little TOP’s of Praise Choir. Children must know that God loves and cares for them; that there is a place specifically for them in the body of Christ.
The Youth Ministry
• The teens meet twice a month for training, fun and bible study coined “Youth Encounter”
The Young Adult Ministry
Sought out to be leaders in the ministry, our young adults have engaged in spiritual opportunities for them to showcase their gifts and talents for the Lord and his people. The Young Adult Assembly intimately called “Throw down Thursday has been developed as a nontraditional bible study and fellowship each Thursday Night at 6:30p.m. This group also host events throughout the year for the entire church. “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (I Timothy 4:12).
